: Instructional Design Projects Manager
How long have you been with the company?
I have been with Rand Worldwide since August 1995.
What do you like most about your job and the organization?
By schooling I am a mechanical engineer and over my years with Rand Worldwide I have learned that although I am technical, I love education. I work in the ASCENT division of Rand Worldwide focusing on writing and designing training materials for engineering software. This includes hard copy training guides, online courses, and eBooks. So yes, I have the best of both worlds. What I find amazing (and still inspiring after all these years) is that once content that I have written gets released it can show up in classrooms around the world. It is pretty cool to think of a student in North America, Italy, or Singapore being able to do their job better because of me.
What do you think candidates would most like to know about the organization?
I have been with the company for 17 years and I love that even after this length of time the majority of my group have been here just as long. I honestly don’t just call my co-workers colleagues I call them friends.
The company has over 48+ offices within North America. I really appreciate that the IT department provides us with tools to communicate easily with one another, such as being connected through Lync instant messaging! This was not the case when I started.
