Rand Secure Archive Offers Expert Insight on Information Governance

Chris Grossman Delivers Presentation at Information Governance and eDiscovery Strategy Exchange

FRAMINGHAM, MA

Rand Worldwide (OTCBB: RWWI), a global leader in providing technology solutions to organizations with engineering design and information technology requirements, announces the participation of its Rand Secure Archive (RandSA) division in the Information Governance and eDiscovery Strategy Exchange in Washington, DC as a presenter on the topic of information governance.

Chris Grossman, senior vice president of enterprise applications at Rand Worldwide, will give his presentation on Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Information Governance and eDiscovery Strategy Exchange. Chris will highlight the challenges facing businesses as a result of the exponential growth of electronically stored data and offer information governance best practices to ensure effective data storage, management, security and regulatory compliance.

“Everyone’s excited about how ‘big data’ can be analyzed and used to target customers,” says Chris Grossman, senior vice president of enterprise applications at Rand Worldwide. “However, the flip side to this equation that is rarely addressed is the governance of that data. Who owns the different types of data? Who can access that information? How is the data used? Who is responsible for defining data governance policies? These are the type of questions that organizations need to address now to mitigate potentially significant future risk.”

The Information Governance and eDiscovery Strategy Exchange highlights the importance of having the right tools in place to manage the risks brought by the technology revolution. Through presentations by industry experts, the Exchange emphasizes the importance of companies having robust document retention and information governance policies in place to proactively manage risk.

Speaking on the topic of ‘Implementing Information Governance within Your Organization’, Chris Grossman will outline best practices to help organizations manage their information, including:
  • Assessing the financial implications of implementing data management solutions
  • Implementing sustainable data management solutions
  • Demonstrating return on investment to gain buy-in from the board or executive team
  • Applying policies to eliminate unnecessary duplication of documents
  • Implementing an information governance team
Chris Grossman will deliver his presentation at 10:45am, September 9, 2013 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Dupont Circle Hotel, Washington D.C.
